When Metallix, a global leader in metals recycling headquartered in England, reached out to us for a custom signage project at their North Carolina location, we knew their vision deserved nothing short of perfection. Metallix, known for its precision in salvaging precious metals like extracting gold from circuit boards, sets the bar high in its industry, and its signage needs to reflect that same level of expertise, innovation, and craftsmanship.
For us, this project was about more than creating a sign; it was about bringing a bold idea to life in a way that honored its brand and its legacy.
The project began with a clear and inspiring concept from the Metallix team. Their design wasn’t just creative but intricate, detailed, and carefully considered. They envisioned reverse-illuminated signage with select face illumination, like the dot over the “i,” and a bold orange glow lighting up the sign’s sides, top, and base.
We worked closely with Metallix to adapt their vision into a practical and visually stunning solution. After creating a detailed sample, the Metallix team took the time to evaluate the design carefully. Their clarity of vision, paired with our dedication to fine-tuning every detail, set the foundation for a truly extraordinary final product.
Once the design was finalized, we moved into production with a focus on precision and craftsmanship. Achieving the desired “floating effect” required building a strong yet invisible internal structure to position the sign at just the right distance from the no-edge acrylic, ensuring a seamless, shadow-free glow.

With the signage complete, the next step was careful shipping to Metallix’s North Carolina facility. We partnered with a trusted local installation team who executed the setup with the same attention to detail we bring to every project. Their expertise ensured the final product looked as impressive in place as it did in concept—perfectly aligned with Metallix’s expectations.
Alongside the primary signage, we also delivered two smaller directional signs for their shipping and receiving areas.
